Planning a wedding is so stressful, and it really helps to work with a vendor that is organized and on top of it. They have a rock solid process in place which leaves no room for error or confusion. I never had to worry about them not following through with their commitments and timelines. Corey is so accommodating and I genuinely enjoyed every conversation I had with him. Elifer did all of our editing and he is amazing at what he does! He made the process so easy and seamless. I am so glad we chose them!!

July 1, 2020 at 4:48 pmWe used Glimmer Photo and Video for our Punjabi/Sikh wedding in Edmonton, AB in June 2019. Overall, I would recommend Glimmer photo and video for those looking for a good value when you bundle video and photo, even if you are paying for travel costs to Alberta. Below I have outlined pros and cons to our experience. Despite the detailed cons, I think Glimmer is a great choice for your wedding day depending on your personal style. They got the job done for us and I was happy I chose them for our wedding.
Pros:
1. The team at Glimmer is very professional, communicate well and are organized for your big day. They were timely to our functions and very friendly as well.
2. The value is great for video + photo bundle, especially for an Indian wedding when you need many hours of shooting
3. The photographers and videographers are knowledgeable on Indian wedding customs and know where and when they have to be shooting. They caught a lot of great candid moments as well as important moments for both myself and my husband’s functions.
4. In my opinion, the pictures and video are great for capturing memories but are not an editorial/artistic style. I was aware of this having looked at their portfolio online and was okay with this. Most of the pictures you will receive have the same style (ie. Bright lighting, mostly posed photos) but you will have all the photos you want with all your family members included which was important to me.
5. I was very impressed with the next day edit that was featured at our reception. It was my favourite product we received from Glimmer!
Cons:
1. I was disappointed with the timeliness of receiving my product. My wedding being in the end of June, I received my photos only in October. This was okay but I was disappointed I had not received my video. I waited until January to ask what the estimated timeline was to receive my videos. It turns out, they had forgot to send me my video links in October. This was both my fault and theirs as I could have asked about it sooner. Regardless, it was disappointing that this was missed.
2. I was also disappointed with the editing of my videos. I understand that it is my job to go through the videos to make them exactly as I want them. However, it was disappointing to see that there were often obviously much better clips to use than the ones that were featured. There were also sections where the music jumped from 3 different songs in a matter of 10 seconds. This was clearly an oversight but disappointing coming from a professional videographer. There were a few minor issues such as this that were completely fixed with my editing notes but I was disappointed in the overall quality of the work.
3. Lastly, there were some instances where we could have used more direction from our photographer/videographer. Here are some examples:
-some of my pictures where I am standing very awkwardly/slouched
-in a close up shot of me in the NDE I clearly have an eyelash on my cheek
-my husband’s wedding morning pictures were unfortunately taken on a living room couch instead of in front of the gorgeous backdrop in his tent that was intended for this purpose. In the hustle and bustle of the morning, my husbands family forgot and just took the pictures there. But I would have expected the photographers to mention that this did not look good and at least ask about/suggest another area to take the pictures.

September 30, 2020 at 9:57 pmOur team was so amazing! Pictures from the casual shoot were fantastic! The videography was excellent! They worked so hard & were accomodating with changing our contract to meet the needs of COVID wedding. I would hire them again!

February 2, 2021 at 11:09 pmWe booked Glimmer for our January 21, 2021 wedding. We highly recommend the Glimmer team to future Brides and Grooms! The entire team was highly involved in making our wedding vision come to life, especially considering we were married in the middle of a World Pandemic! With public health orders restricting our original wedding plans, the Glimmer team catered a package that was just perfect for us! My husband and I can look back and smile because we had a wedding which won our hearts. It’s perfectly captured in the photos and videos 🙏 Glimmer, the energy you brought to us at the Gurudwara, our family and friends drive by and “reception look” day was so engaged and enthusiastic. Thanks Jeff, Nicole, Corey and the entire team!

February 7, 2021 at 5:04 pmMy husband and I made the decision to get married in 2018, and right away we started to look at all the venues and vendors we needed in 2019. I had always been a big fan of Glimmer, and had told my husband that. We went to meet the team in their office with our parents, and from that day onwards, we have never regretted our decision. Glimmer covered ALL our wedding events along with our pre-wedding events: photos and videos. The team was so patient with us and our families at every event. They shared their knowledge with us as they were walking us through the routines, which helped our families and us as a couple as well. We worked with over ten of the talented team members and they were all amazing! If you are interested in taking a hands on approach to make sure your videos and photos turn out just as you imagined them, then we heavily recommend GLIMMER!

September 7, 2021 at 7:04 pmJust wanted to give Glimmer Films a 5 star review. They have been very accommodating throughout COVID. We have had to change our dates 4 times and unfortunately had to change our contract drastically and they were very helpful during the process.

Corey was super responsive and helpful, and accommodated all changes to our booking in light of the changing restrictions due to Covid-19. The Glimmer team went above and beyond to ensure our wedding week went smoothly even with the uncertainty of restrictions. They provided fair and reasonable solutions (e.g., date changes, refunds) as applicable in our situation. I would highly recommend the glimmer team as they are professional and communicate in a timely manner.

Just wanted to leave a review for Glimmer. My husband and I booked them for our wedding in January 2020 and they were wonderful to deal with.
From the initial consultation right down to the editing process they were professional and easy to deal with. Our wedding was held atop Grouse Mountain early in the morning and they were very accommodating. The day ended up being 12+ hours and they stuck it out in the rain/snow with no complains. All our products (Photo album, guest book, canvas etc.) were all great quality and beautifully done.
Would highly recommend Glimmer for your photography/videography needs!!

November 21, 2021 at 6:59 pmWe had booked Glimmer Films prior to the pandemic not knowing what was in store for the future. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was quite the challenge. Glimmer Films made this process very easy and were supportive throughout our challenges. Given the circumstances with the pandemic, Corey catered a package that was best for our interests. The team is very friendly and does an excellent job capturing our special moments.
I enjoyed working with them on the editing process. They made this very easy by introducing youtube video instructions to allow us to understand how each process worked and ensuring we had a say in each edit. This was extremely important to me and my wife.
Thank you to Corey, Jeff, Ryan, and the entire Glimmer team for capturing our wedding week.

Glimmer was just the company I was looking for to help keep me organized and stress free. They are professional and communicate clearly via e-mail so you know exactly what to expect. I loved all the pre-wedding information, instructions, and spreadsheets we received. This gave me peace of mind knowing I had a say in the way my photos and video would turn out. And best of all, they produce high quality photo and video. I’ve gotten so many compliments on the sneak peak pictures alone. Thank you so much, Glimmer Team, for being perfectionists and flexible during the pandemic as well, we greatly appreciate it.

July 6, 2022 at 3:00 pmI’m so disappointed with them and my experience. First in the contract it says you get 2 videographers and 2 photographers for 13 hours. When I was going over my video I found out that after the park photos Glimmer only sent 1 videographer and 1 photographer for the doli (its not mentioned anywhere in the contract that this would happen). When I asked about this the manager was just like oh well next time we’ll specify in the contract. After the groom arrived at my house we had guests in the backyard to eat and mingle. I have 0 video and 0 photos of this (it was about 1 hr). The videographer and photographer decided to eat and not film at all. The eating and taking a break is not my issue (we made sure all our vendors were fed and took food home) if they had taken 10 minutes and grabbed some photos and video footage I would have been happy. The video and photos of the grooming getting ready turned out nice. For some reason I don’t have very nice photos or videos. No footage of guests mingling in the morning or me talking to anyone. Even the shots of me getting ready weren’t very good. The editor (who was really good) agreed with me that it wasn’t the best work. They did a really nice shot of my husband and his family walking into the gurdwara. They didn’t film my sisters or brothers walking in (they were all dressed the same, and the photographers and videographers knew who they were). The angle they have of me walking in wasn’t very nice either. Both sides of our family noticed that the Grooms side was filmed better for some reason.
Then it was time to edit the videos. You only get 5 hours on zoom. We only got through the feature film in this time. The other version (5-6 hours) wasn’t looked at. Initially I got a defective hard drive so I took it back to get it swapped. When there I mentioned how there were things wrong with the longer video (ie. Wrong songs, clips were mislabeled with wrong events). At first I was told by the manager no problem to send him the details and they would fix it. I emailed him back and was told no more edits and that they would charge extra. When I brought up the contract not being fulfilled and how he said we would have more time then he “remembered ” he did say that and he would allow me a free 5 hour sitin. I only needed an hour to fix the remaining issues. For the amount of money spent its disappointing especially when Glimmer is well known.
Theres more I could say about my disappointing experience but I’m going to leave it at that.

We had Tom join us from our pre-shoots and he stayed with the team until the reception the guy is a legend, they were such lovely people work with and made us feel at ease through all our events. From our experience, we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.

July 6, 2019 at 4:10 pmWe hired Glimmer Films for our wedding on Aug 3, 2018. Justina who worked on our wedding albums was AMAZING. Justina’s passion for the work showed through the albums, communication in person and via email. Like any vendors in the wedding industry there can be good/bad experiences. Glimmer Films managed to rectify mistakes and overcame obstacles to please us. For future couples, read vendor contracts before signing them. Do not pay full price to any vendor(s) until you have received the service you signed up for or until you are satisfied with the outcome. Do not let the vendor(s) make decisions without asking for your permission. Ex. Removing Footage. Lastly, be clear and concise. Ex. As opposed to getting 7,000 images that cannot be used get 3,000 that can be used. Hope this helps! Good luck.

July 8, 2019 at 6:47 pmI almost booked him for our pre-wedding shoot but decided against it as he was very dodgy when I asked what dates he had open.
My fiancé at the time was coming from out of country and we only had a week where we could do the shoot and we were booking very last minute.
All Bryan would say when I asked what dates we had open, was that he would work with us throughout the week and in between clients.
He also told me over the phone, that he would come to Kelowna for the shoot. As we got closer to finalizing he changed his mind. I’ll attach in another comment what I sent to him when I got sick of him wasting my time, and what his response was.

July 16, 2019 at 10:44 amGlimmer Films is an absolutely phenomenal vendor to work with. From their professionalism and personableness, the entire team made the photo/video portion of our wedding stress free. Since we had a destination wedding (for which they have a great contract, that can be negotiated before hand), and they do not reside in the same city we do (so we couldn’t meet before hand), they ensured to meet with us before our wedding week events began in Mexico. They constantly kept us in the loop, and were extremely easy to communicate with during our entire wedding week there (all the while they were also doing another wedding alongside ours). I don’t know how they did it, but in an extremely short amount of time they got to know who all of our close family members were on both sides, so they could ensure they received ample footage and photo time! Everything was captured so beautifully, and our next day edit left us speechless. They are truly masters of their craft! They made posing and taking pictures so easy in the hot Mexican sun! The album/video editing process is straightforward (since of course everyone is human), and communication is no issue. Just like with any photo/video vendor, they have a contract which both sides sign to ensure everything is done and received in a timely fashion. As we understood all the terms, and kept up with all payments we were not kept waiting beyond the time stated in their contract. The whole team is great, and their work speaks for itself!

We were referred to a company by the name of Glimmer films located in B.C. After talking with Brian and his team, we were confident that we made the right decision in having them capture all our memories. The whole experience from the beginning to the end was very professional. We never had to worry about missing any moments as the team had video and photography captured them from every angle. We are nearing the end of the final product completion and are amazed at the creativity glimmer has put into our photo and videos. Brian even made sure that we had a great photo shoot after learning that our wedding planner decided to leave our venue. We were clearly distraught and and frustrated about that incident, however, Brian made sure it didn’t show. The pictures turned out amazing! Thank you to Glimmer Films for capturing all the beautiful moments. We would highly recommend Glimmer films for your venue!

My wife and I always wanted to do a destination wedding and when the time came we both agreed upon Canun, Mexico. We wanted a photo and video team that would capture all the beauty that was of the wedding itself and the environment around us. We wanted to make sure all the special moments we would go through would be forever memorialized. We were referred to a company known as Glimmer Films. Brian and his team walked us through every step of what was going to happen. They made it easy for us to customize what our vision was for our final products. They stayed in touch through out the whole function and were very knowledgeable and respectful when it came to all the Indian wedding functions. During the reception we were blown away by the next day edit which showcased all of our special moments through out the week. We got married in February and since then they have been in contact with us regarding social media postings all the way to final products that we agreed upon. During our reception night we had a bad run in with our wedding planner who essentially gave us news of her leaving the venue right when we were about to take some final pictures as we entered the reception. Brian made sure it didn’t show on our faces as we were clearly upset by her disrupting the entire process. We are in the final stages of our picture and video package and so far everything looks great! Kudos to a great team in capturing our moments that we will forever cherish. Thanks Glimmer!

From the moment we met them till now they have been hella professional and Nicole Daniel Hassan and Trevor were amazing during our events. They were all easy going and accommodating. I can’t wait to start posting my pics everywhere once I get them. You have to book glimmer if you don’t want the stress.

Riz and Adam were really fun to work with we loved how we were able to collaborate our ideas together. They knew exactly what we wanted and captured it perfectly. Riz was fantastic at showing us our pictures throughout our shoots making sure we were liking it and Adam was awesome as he knew exactly what I wanted for my next day edit! I wasn’t a easy client and constantly emailed them but I am so thankful that the team was so patient and understanding and made our next day edit more than perfect for US! Thank you Glimmer!

Glimmer was my first choice and i was fortunate to have been able to have them even though i booked so late. I can’t say enough about Glimmer. Bryan was loveley during the consultation and gave us solid advice. Looking at the videos and photos, im actually amazed that they captured everything i wanted. Our photographers Nicole Daniel Hassan and Trevor were amazing during our events they made sure we both looked good in every shot. they directed you when needed and took candids when needed. From the moment we booked them till receiving the video and photos they have been amazing. Everything happened so seamlessly with Glimmer.
