I highly recommend Bombay Banquet Hall, that is where we had our reception and many other parties. Whether you need the large hall or small hall, they both come with large patios! Above all, the food is amaazing!!! Not to mention, they have so much parking! It comes down to food and music for the guests to truly enjoy a reception.. Bombay knocks it out of the park with their outdoor live grill and their many menu options!

We had my daughters birthday party at Bombay in November. They were super accommodating, we had no issues with external vendors or even transferring a prepaid covid deposit. Definitely one of the better halls to deal with based off my personal experience.

We had a disastrous experience with Bombay Banquet Hall and we wanted to share. Don’t book this hall! It’s all lies upfront to get your business and the service provided is something completely different. Here are the details of what went wrong:

During our initial consult, we told them that we were concerned about the sound coming from the other half of the hall. They were quick to tell us that the dividing wall is fully sealed, and therefore sound proof. That was a lie. Once the dancing on the other side began, it was so loud that the speeches on our side of the hall could not be heard. We asked the hall supervisor could ask them to just turn the volume down a notch until our speeches are done and he said there was nothing he could do.

When we booked the hall we had elected to have a cocktail hour on the patio, where we would have a live bbq occurring. When we arrived at the hall for our party, the patio wasn’t ready nor was the food due to them having a shortage of staff. Our entire cocktail hour was cancelled. The patio opened up at 9pm at the same time as dinner was served – which made it absolutely pointless and very disappointing!

Now since our cocktail hour was canceled unbeknownst to us, we had to do the typical service inside and it was HORRIBLE! Service was slow, we had to ask for our appies to be brought to the table and even then, we received one plate of pakoras and that was all. At 8:30pm I asked for chicken and fish and was told that appies were done for the night. We literally received one plate of pakora for appies and that was all, had we not asked for it, we wouldn’t have gotten that either. Our package contained 12 appies, and we only received 7. Very disappointing and we were ripped off.

Going on to dinner – the rice was raw and crunchy. All the food was delivered as agreed to on the contract, but it was rather tasteless.

Now to the hall supervisor that was on the floor during our event – he was rude and completely useless. We’d ask for his help and his response was always, “I can’t help you with that; there’s nothing I can do.” Continuing on before 2am, the dj had announced that we had two minutes left of dancing, immediately after this announcement the supervisor pulled the plug on the power, with a full dance floor. This actually even made the dj so angry as well. He should have let the dj whind things down, opposed to the abruptness they presented. They were being jerks to us for no reason and the handling of the music at the end of the night was icing on the cake.

We will NEVER book this hall again. And we will make sure that everyone in our family knows that this is not a place you’d want to host a party. It was a disastrous experience, please save yourself the grief. Due to their policy, we had to pay for our bill in full a week prior to the event so we can’t hold anything back. They had all our money prior to our event and didn’t have to provide us the service and food they promised as there was nothing on the line for them to do so.
