This year we chose 3 winners for each of the categories below:

Wedding Clothing

This year was a little different for our clothing category, as 2023 was the first year in which a designer from India placed. Khushboo Baheti in particular, is based in India, and ships worldwide.

Decorators

All 3 of these decor companies have experience with Indian wedding events. Whether it be for receptions or catering for the Jago, these decorators have you covered.

DJs

This year, we have returning DJ’s who are receiving the 2023 awards. All of these DJs are experienced with Punjabi, Hindi, and English music.

Hair & Makeup Artists

This year we have a new set of HMUA winners, compared to previous years.

All of these hair and makeup artists have extensive experience with South Asian weddings, and primarily serve lower mainland B.C.

Jewelery

This year, we had a mix of jewelers ranging from diamond sellers to Indian bridal jewelry sellers.

Unlike previous years, most of this year’s winners are from outside of B.C., with the exception of Diamond Deals. Luxe Jewelry Studio is based in Calgary, Alberta, and Dawn Creations is based in Seattle, WA.

Mehndi

All 3 of this year’s top mehndi award recipients are based in lower mainland B.C., predominantly in Surrey, B.C.

Simran’s Mehndi has earned first place again, with more than 50 reviews! That is quite a feat.

Congrats to Henna Art by Faiza and Soniya’s Mehndi, for earning 2nd and 3rd places.

Performer

This year is a little different for the Performer category. This year’s recipients came from all over the Pacific Northwest.

Harmen Dholi in particular, serves the greater Seattle Area.

Sahara Nights and Gurleen Brar Singing serve lower mainland B.C. As suggested by their name, Sahara Nights does belly dance performances. Gurleen Brar on the other hand, provides live folk singing for Punjabi and Pakistani wedding events.

Photo

This year was very different for the Photo category. Most of this year’s winners are receiving the award for the first time.

Lotus Lens Studio serves the greater Seattle area, and is the first photographer from Seattle to earn this award.

Harmeet Gill is also receiving this award for the first time.

Both Harmeet Gill and Vivid Dreams serve lower mainland B.C.

Venue

All 3 of this year’s winning venues are located in lower mainland B.C.

Nancy Farms is a full-service venue with both outdoor and indoor facilities. Their facilities are essentially prepared for any type of weather. Additionally, they have other on-site services.

Ultimate Banquet Hall and Mirage Banquet Hall Ltd. are both in Surrey, and offer banquet hall experiences with catering options.
