During these uncertain times, it can be overwhelming to book someone to come out to you to do your make-up for a special wedding, or even just as a guest. With that being said, why not learn to master doing your own make-up so you don’t have to rely on booking anyone else do it for you? In this post, I’ll show you exactly how to do that!
To follow along, you’ll need 13 types of makeup items. I’ve listed products that I like, below. Most of these items should be available at your local drug store. If not, we’ve provided links to places from which you can buy them online:

13 Steps to Glam
Step 1: Cleanse your face
Gently wash your face with the facial wash to remove any dirt and or left over make-up from the prior night/function. I personally find that SIMPLE – Moisturizing Facewash works great on all types of skin.

Step 2: Moisturize
Apply moisturizer to your face. Try to leave the moisturizer on for at least a minute or two to really plump your skin. I personally find that Olay – Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Moisturizer Cream works great on all types of skin.
Step 3: It's Prime Time!
Primer will give you the ultimate base for your make-up, especially to your foundation. Primer will also give you the utmost bounce for your make-up to stay on all day.
Spread a small amount of primer all over your face especially your t-zone, leaving it on for at least a few seconds to 1 minute. I use Elf – Jelly Pop Dew Primer for this step.

Step 4: Apply Eyeshadow/Liner
With just using one to two shades of a neutral to light brown shade all over your lid for a more natural, but elegant look. For the eyeliner, you can either make a wing or you can just outline your lid as youre reference to keep it either simple or more dramatic. I like both L’Oreal Paris – Paradise Enchanted Eyeshadow (neutral/warm tones) and Maybelline – Hyper Easy Liquid Black Eyeliner Pen.
Step 5: Apply Mascara
Apply the mascara as needed but before you do, make sure you curl your lashes for a more dramatic look. The mascara will help you in all ways needed to draw your eyes in as we are not using any false lashes!
Step 6: Apply Foundation
Apply one to two pumps as you desire to cover up your whole face including any blemishes and or pimples. Make sure your foundation is fully evened out on your face, add more or less based on your preference. L’Oreal Paris -Infallible 24-hour Wear Foundation does the job for me.
Step 7: Apply Concealer
Apply this concealer right under your eyes as a triangle, on your forehead, and a little on your chin to really brighten up your face. Blend that really out either with a big brush or beauty blender as you prefer. I find L’Oreal – Infallible More Than Concealer to work well for this step.
Step 8: Apply Baking Powder
Apply your baking powder right under your eyes and everywhere else that you concealed. Leave this lose powder on for atleast 5-7 minutes while you finish up the rest of your face make-up.

Step 9: Apply Contour
Apply your countour from the direction of the tip of your ear as shown in the video (video is at bottom of this page), closest to the apple of your cheeks. Do not use a lot of powder to get a harsh look but instead a lighter hand to define your cheeks and give your face that dimension.
Step 10: Get Blushed
Apply directly to the apple of your cheeks and even around on your cheeks to give yourself the most flushed out but rosey look to display your healthy, plump looking skin.
Step 11: Apply Highlight
Apply the highlight directly to your cheek bones/higher points of your face, on top of your eyebrows as well and the tip of your nose as I have shown in my video. I like using Wet N Wild -MegaGlo Highlighting for this step.
Step 12: Apply Lipstick
To give you the perfect pop to your whole look, (I prefer Revlon Super lustrous lipstick: rose velvet or NYX Professional Makeup – Soft Matte Lip Cream in shade Dubai ) which will go with any Indian outfit you have on! Not only will this lipstick give you that extra push, but will also keep you looking elegant.
Step 13: Apply Setting Spray
Use the setting spray to deeply lock in all your make-up products and add a little bit of hydration back into your skin for your big fat Indian wedding, COVID Edition! I like using NYX – PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Makeup Setting Spray, Matte Finish, for this step.

Remember to slay your make-up look as much as possible, while keeping yourself and others around you safe with social distancing and masking up. Enjoy that wedding Queens and post those selfies on the gram.
